Dream list (or things I’d like to do if I had more time)… #BlogJune

Just writing a bit of a dream list tonight of things I’d love to do, if I had more time…

I’d like to (in no particular order):

  • Play more music – I miss playing the piano every day (like I used to do when I was practicing for an exam)
  • Read more books – there’s always so many wonderful books out there to read!
  • Spend more time with my family – with us kids getting older, there’s always people in and out of the house, and sometimes it’s hard to just all be together
  • Spend more time with friends – it’s always challenging to catch up and try to reconcile different work schedules & study commitments
  • Practice more to get better at dancing (just started taking some social dance/ballroom lessons a while back and really enjoying them)
  • Travel – it’d be neat visiting Europe; I’d want to go with someone though (friend or family member) – reckon it wouldn’t be much fun going by yourself!
  • Be more creative – in terms of writing more for fun (stories, poems, etc…), learning to be more artistic in a visual sense (drawing, etc… – stick figures could do with some more work!).

I guess I could do most of these things now; just have to make the time 🙂

What are some things you dream of doing (or doing more of)?

What to do next?: Planning last week of #BlogJune

Phew – we are on Day 24 of #BlogJune so just 7 posts to go! I’m glad (and amazed!) that I have managed to keep on track so far – haven’t missed a day yet – so just have this final sprint to go.

With that in mind, today is my planning day of the last few blog posts for #BlogJune.

  • Monday: To-do blog list for rest of the week 🙂
  • Tuesday: Whatever takes my fancy; might do a wee chat on the benefits of ‘side projects’
  • Wednesday: #RL2013 session 3 summary
  • Thursday: Confession Thursday – topic under wraps…
  • Friday: Mentoring – this topic has been on my mind for ever, and I really want to do a post on this!
  • Saturday: Top of the pops – a look back on all my posts from June and which ones were the most popular or interesting; hopefully this might provide some more inspiration for future posts! 🙂
  • Sunday: #QuoteSunday – I want to end this challenge with a bang so am looking for the perfect quote to describe this journey.

What about you? How are you planning to finish off #BlogJune?

Bucket list: What I hope to get out of #BlogJune

I *love* lists, so what better way to kick off #BlogJune?

What I hope to get out of #BlogJune

1. An authentic blogging voice as I find my niche in the blogosphere
2. A habit of regularly blogging for my continued professional development
3. A fun, vibrant community of other librarian bloggers
4. A blog that actually has more than four or five posts on it!
5. More knowledge of WordPress; I hope to get more savvy with HTML and embedding different things into my blog posts to keep it fresh and interesting.

So what do you hope to get out of #BlogJune?

I just couldn’t leave this post without showing you a photo of a real bucket list…lol
