About Me

Hi – thanks for checking out my blog!

The name of this blog was inspired by a conversation I had on Twitter in which someone called me an ‘octopus’ for multitasking. The name has kinda stuck, but I think it is an interesting persona to have. I have wide-ranging interests and am involved with a number of different projects at the moment.

This is a personal blog about my professional learning in the information profession. At the moment, it will feature my reflections on doing the ANZ 23 Mobile Things course which I am organizing (along with Kate Freedman). You can read a bit more about me in my extended introduction on the ANZ 23 Mobile Things blog: “All About Abigail.

It will also feature posts on my interests which include (in no particular order):

  • social media
  • new professionals
  • information technology
  • collaboration
  • online learning
  • curation

I look forward to hanging out with you!

Abigail Tarbotton (nee Willemse).
